The 20-pallet arrangement describes the available pallet positions. It does not automatically mean that every pallet can carry the maximum number of cartons shown on a packing sheet. The final quantity must remain within the container, carrier and destination-country weight limits.

20-Pallet Loading Arrangement
The 20ft container loading plan uses 20 pallets arranged in two levels. Ten pallets are positioned on the container floor, and another ten pallets are placed above them using a suitable load-bearing arrangement.
Pallet loading helps protect the cartons, improves forklift handling and makes unloading easier for overseas importers. The pallet structure and stacking method must be confirmed before loading because SPC flooring is a dense and heavy product.

For 4mm SPC flooring without IXPE backing, the standard carton contains 14 planks and covers 3.0744 m².

This calculation shows why 3,996.72 m² is a space-based planning figure rather than an automatic shipping quantity. The number of cartons on each pallet may need to be reduced to meet the shipment's permitted payload.
Why Weight Determines the Final Quantity
SPC flooring has a high product density. In many 20ft container orders, the weight limit is reached before the full pallet-space capacity is used.
The final loading calculation should include:
Gross weight of every flooring carton
Number of cartons on each pallet
Weight of wooden or export pallets
Additional wrapping, straps and protective material
Container payload shown on the equipment
Carrier, port and destination road-weight requirements

Does IXPE Backing Change Container Capacity?
Yes. Attached IXPE backing changes the total product structure, pieces per carton, carton area and pallet weight. It may reduce the number of square meters that can be loaded in one container.
For example, a 4mm SPC core with 1.0mm IXPE backing is not packed in exactly the same way as 4mm SPC flooring without backing. Buyers should always specify whether the quoted thickness refers to:
SPC core thickness only
Total product thickness including IXPE
SPC thickness plus separately stated backing thickness
This detail is necessary when comparing quotations from different SPC flooring suppliers.
How to Calculate an SPC Flooring Container Order
